What are you going to do?
Thanks in part to you, our aircraft are safe and ready for use on time. You ensure that maintenance in our hangars at Schiphol runs smoothly. By rolling up your sleeves, managing your team of technicians and keeping a close eye on things. Are you in danger of not achieving the desired end result on time? Then you intervene immediately – it is your and your team’s responsibility to ensure that the aircraft are ready for their new flight on time.

carry out your inspection, modification and maintenance work;
you decide with a Certificate of Release to Service whether aircraft can safely fly;
you will be dealing with the latest technologies in aviation;
work on the latest Airbus and Boeing aircraft;
do you provide technical guidance and ensure that colleagues carry out their work safely;
contribute to the development of your teammates.

You will end up at KLM Engineering & Maintenance, the maintenance area at Schiphol-Oost: a dynamic, inspiring and international environment. We are looking for ground engineers for various aircraft, including the 777, 787 and A330 – and in the future also the A320 and A350. Your workplace and team are therefore not yet fixed. But together we will find an environment that suits you! At E&M we work in shifts. Evening, night and weekend shifts are also part of this.

 

Your profile – KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Jobs
Airplanes hold no secrets for you, but you also get along very well with people. You have to be able to direct, motivate and stimulate them. That means that you can easily convey your ideas to your team. You work closely together, but ultimately the result is yours: fortunately, that responsibility and pressure bring out the very best in you.

Further:

do you have at least seven years of experience as an (un)licensed mechanic;
Do you have an AML B1 or B2 with at least one type rating, preferably for one of the following types: A330, B777 and B787.
understand your (technical) English very well.
