Job Description
Synopsis
The Powerplant Technician is responsible for the disassembly, repair and re-assembly of all engine (as listed under the Shop Capabilities) QEC and Engine/APU/Nacelle components in a workshop environment or whilst engine/APU is installed on aircraft.
Accountabilities
- Removal, cleaning, minor repairs and installation of Engine/APU/Nacelle Components
- Understand and follow procedures as required by the maintenance data (Aircraft Maintenance Manual or Engine Shop Manual) and company procedures
- Display a professional attitude and ability to communicate clearly and effectively providing feedback for any issues encountered.
- Meet targets and deadlines as set by the EPWS Supervisor
- Operate equipment such as forklift, hoist, pneumatic and battery operated hand tools and special tools.
- Perform any additional tasks as requested by the EPWS Supervisor and housekeeping duties as required.
- Demonstrate required knowledge EYEng Safety Management System and Quality procedures at all times, as well as GCAA/EASA/FAA Part-145 requirements.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma/Certificate
- Apprenticeship at a GCAA/EASA Part-145 maintenance organization
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Aviation industry as a Powerplant or Aircraft maintenance technician.
